Pharos Module Delivers Tight Integration with Genelec’s Smart IP Loudspeaker Family
The module allows Smart IP models to be configured, controlled and monitored from within the Pharos Designer product range – creating seamless solutions for a wide range of experience spaces. Designed and manufactured in-house, the Pharos range of multi award-winning products are trusted to run day and night, illuminating iconic installations around the world.
The new IO module enables each Smart IP loudspeaker to be put into standby, active or sleep modes, allows muting or unmuting, and can set the volume in dB or %. The module can also configure the loudspeaker to be fed via its digital or analogue inputs, allows control of the loudspeaker’s visible LED indicators, and can set the configuration profile.
Additionally, the module can either be used to configure individual loudspeakers, or to provide master control of multiple loudspeakers in a single action. In larger installations, Pharos Designer is capable of controlling the DSP too – making it a complete solution for end user interfacing of both lighting and audio.
The Genelec Smart IP family encompasses wall, ceiling and pendant loudspeaker models, plus a complementary new subwoofer. Powered via PoE, all Smart IP models can be combined freely on a Dante or AES67 network for a completely scalable full-range audio solution – providing exceptional sound quality and single-cable networked convenience.
